After a couple of hiccups all the planning is coming together perfectly and this years contest is set to rock!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Southern KwaZulu Natal Bodyboarding Association has had to move the venue for the Koko's South Coast Bodyboarding Classic from Margate to Uvongo Beach. Uvongo Beach is easily accessible a mere 4kms North of Margate Beach

Uvongo has a reputation for producing good bodyboarding waves. The 2006 SA Champs were held at this Beach including many other local club and provincial contests so the beach is well known to everyone.

The sand banks are perfect there lately with a nice right-hander running off the point onto the shallow sandbar. Dont forget the lefts that run from behind the caf, that bank has really been producing with all the east swell we have been having lately. All in all we are very excited about the move and look forward to an awesome contest, commented local organizing provincial Chairman Wayne Beekman.

The contest briefing will remain at Koko's Restaurant and Club in Margate and will take place on Thursday 21 April at 6:30 PM. Entry forms are available on www.sixty40.co.za or at Surf M'Ocean surf Shop in Shelly Beach. Please note that entries close 4pm 19 April and no late entries will be accepted.

This year's event is proudly sponsored by Koko's Club and Grill (Margate), South Coast Tourism, Reef Wetsuits, Anytime Holidays, Wavehouse Gateway, JFK Photography, Surf M'Ocean, Panarottis and Rockstar Energy Drinks

There are numerous product and cash prizes up for grabs in various divisions. Surf M'Ocean Surf Shop is also putting up R500 voucher to the rider who busts the biggest maneuver of the event. JFK Photography will be hosting an expression session during the event. First prize gets a framed photo of their winning move and R300 cash. Right now you are thinking, but what about the skimming contest? Dont worry we havent forgotten about this and it will definitely be hosted if conditions allow.

There is one week left and clearly a lot to look forward to for this highly anticipated event so make sure you do not miss out! Remember its the only SABA circuit event in KZN this year
