Things are heating up for the first Kumba Iron Ore / REEF SA West Coast Classic that is to be held this weekend in the Lamberts Bay area. Good news is that Glider Eyewear has come on board and sponsored prizes. GLIDER EYEWEAR is the first and only choice for performance eyewear. Always Polarized. Anyone who knows the west coast will tell you that a good pair of sunglasses are essential. Thanks for helping us taking the sport of bodyboarding to a new high.

Go check out the Glider product here: www.glidereyewear.com

The Classic is attracting a healthy load of contest entries from around the country. IBA World Tour campaigner, Mark McCarthy will be making the trip down to the Cape to be among the rest of the fighting pack to win the title.

The weather patterns have been very strange for this time of year with loads of summer type conditions being had in Cape Town with very few nasty cold fronts passing the cape area. The forecast is looking very promising for clean conditions with a small but powerful long range swell arriving early Saturday morning with light offshore winds blowing all day. Sunday is much the same with a new big swell arriving on Monday morning. The winds are a bit all over the place at the moment but should settle down closer to the swell arriving.

Entries close on Wednesday, 4 August 2010, 14:00 is cut-off time. Remember to fax your proof of payment.

See you all up the coast for one of the best body boarding events to come out of SA and remember, Die wes kus is die beste kus!
